Beautiful, uplifting, full of faith and hope speech about the teachers of the next generations. The parallel about Jewish history and their passing the baton from generation to generation to American cultural influence (and the Western world in general) in their children and young people is a very sad picture, to the point that sometimes we can think this talk comes too late ... It is also very interesting what brethren told me from Thailand: visiting a school there they found out that China had bought more than 2000 schools in Thailand, the children were all, like in typical Chinese schools, sitting perfectly in line, not moving, disciplined to the core ... It looks like China is exactly doing what Dr. Os Guinness is trying to make the world understand, that the key to a successful future lies in the education of the children. Of course, the question is: what is successful? For the Chinese it is to brainwash the younger generation in as many countries as possible with communist ideology -- we as Christians are called to be teachers about the kingdom of God, and first of all, to the children. Is it too late?
