Act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with your God (Mic. 6:8).
God has two dwellings; one in heaven, the other in a meek and thankful heart.

Dazzling!

Devotional 2

A great class on Bridal Theology taught by someone who is madly in love with Jesus! In the first ten minutres there are so many good quotes, amazing how he weaves them all together! He does a good job explaining Song of Solomon Chapter Five as well!

I am praying for Eric that he does not go the way of other megapastors. A friend wrote about the dangers of being a "charasmatic megachurch pastor":

“Francis Chan had a small church that also grew into a megachurch and lost its salt. He left his church behind to become a missionary in HK and Myanmar. As with Bruxy and some evangelical pastors, his charisma brought people to his church, but they went there to see him, not Jesus. He critiqued individualism and competitiveness in American Christianity. As the churches in Myanmar became popular, he warned them:

Guard your heart. Don’t try to make a name for yourself. The goal has to be that we are forgotten, and that Jesus is lifted up. "

I am praying Eric can avoid these pitfalls.

Eric got saved in the Brownsville Revival of the 1990's, which you can read about here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brownsville_Revival

I think he is sincere and it is very beautiful to see all the people on their hands and knees praying at the end of the video.

Song of Solomon Chapter Five, Admiration of the Bride for Jesus:
I never saw this translation before, in the KJV, I think they call Jesus "white" but "dazzling" to me is a better adjective! Eric Gilmour explains the meaning of dazzling at 29:40 in the video above.

    Admiration by the Bride
10 "My beloved is dazzling and ruddy, Outstanding among ten thousand.
11 "His head is like gold, pure gold; His locks are like clusters of dates And black as a raven.
12 "His eyes are like doves Beside streams of water, Bathed in milk, And reposed in their setting.
13 "His cheeks are like a bed of balsam, Banks of sweet-scented herbs; His lips are lilies Dripping with liquid myrrh.
14 "His hands are rods of gold Set with beryl; His abdomen is carved ivory Inlaid with sapphires.
15 "His legs are pillars of alabaster Set on pedestals of pure gold; His appearance is like Lebanon Choice as the cedars.
16 "His mouth is full of sweetness. And he is wholly desirable. This is my beloved and this is my friend, O daughters of Jerusalem."
