Act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with your God (Mic. 6:8).
God has two dwellings; one in heaven, the other in a meek and thankful heart.

Better Decisions, Fewer Regrets

Devotional 2

Six part series by Andy Stanley

The concluding part makes it very clear what the standard for Christian behavior and attitude should be. It's not new, or something that many don't "know" already, but the way he puts it out there is compelling.

Part 1: Deciding Our Way Forward
Part 2: The Integrity Question
Part 3: The Legacy Question
Part 4: The Conscience Question
Part 5: The Maturity Question
Part 6: The Relationship Question

I just listened to Part 6: The Relationship Question.
Starting at minute 14:30, Andy shares some very good jewels on the verse ""A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another." (John 13:34)
"We show our devotion to God by putting the person next to us in front of us."
Our love for God is measured by the love we show outwardly (horizontally) not upwardly.
John 13:34 replaces all the existing commandments, not just another command added to the Big Ten!
On the very next day on the cross, Jesus taught us what it means to love "as I have loved you." This is the new standard, to love as He has loved us.
And the verse is the key to winning others as John 13:35 points out!
